I was under the impression that the reason to use distilled water vs tap (or spring) is to reduce the levels of disolved particulates and minerals that can build up over time and cause blockage of the cooling system. I was also under the impression that most anti-freezes contain rust inhibitors designed to prevent rust formation in iron blocks and heads. I was also under the impression that anti-freeze has a fairly base pH. As a result a solution of 30/70 anti-freeze/water is still on the base side of the pH scale.
I think you missed the point of why one should use distilled water. It has nothing to do with pH but rather to do with mineral content.
